In my camera bag, you won’t find the latest 100-megapixel sensor. Instead, you’ll find tools chosen for their ability to capture the truth. For SOUNDSCAPE’s reportages, I rely on a Nikon D40 - for the rich, organic rendering of its CCD sensor - and a Nikon Coolpix S9700 for fast, instinctive shots. This is my act of aesthetic resistance against computational perfection: I choose authentic grain and digital noise over the clinical polish of modern algorithms.
